Aurora graduated from the University of Alberta dental hygiene program in 1985. She is a dedicated dental hygienist providing patients with quality dental hygiene care to maintain optimal oral health. Along with clinical practice, Aurora is involved with the Children’s Oral health initiative program and residential care. Her passion for learning has earned her a BHSc, a BA (Psyc), and Med. Aurora enjoys travelling and has travelled throughout Canada, US, and Europe. She also enjoys taking long walks and appreciates spending time with family and friends.
Sharon, Dental Assistant
Sharon is one of our Certified Dental Assistants. Sharon and her family have called Kamloops home since 1991. She joined Seymour Dental Center in 1992, having previously worked in Prince George and Vancouver. When Sharon is not working on one of her many household projects, she is an active runner and annual participant of “ Boogie the Bridge”. Her other interests include biking, neighbourhood walks and even the odd white water rafting trip or hot air balloon ride. However she can be equally as happy curled up with a good book or on the beach in the sun.
Sandra has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1982, and she has been part of the "Hygiene Team" at Seymour Dental Centre for the past 12 years. In the summer you can find her hiking and biking the hills around Kamloops or sitting by her backyard campfire. In the winter, she trades her hiking shoes for snowshoes. Regardless of the season, however, she is happiest when spending time with family and friends. Sandra is thankful that her job has allowed her to meet so many people. She looks forward to seeing patients she has known for years, and she enjoys meeting new ones. Her passion within dentistry lies in assisting you achieve your optimum dental health.
Charlene, Receptionist, Dental Assistant, Office manager
Charlene is one of the first friendly faces greeting you at Seymour Dental Clinic. She enjoys welcoming patients when they arrive at our office. Her positive energy, and enthusiasm for the patients makes her amazing at helping patients feel comfortable for their appointment.
Her dental career first started in 1987 as a certified dental assistant with Seymour Dental Clinic. Her experience, knowledge, skills and passion for the dental profession have given her the diversity (opportunity) to work in many positions at our office over the years. Charlene has recently started to assist Dr Bouwmeester in pain management. Last year she received training on migraine treatment with botox in San Fransico with Dr Bouwmeester . Charlene’s current position is that of administration /office manager.
Charlene enjoys spending time on her family’s farm or at Shuswap lake with family and friends, walking/ hiking (with husband and dogs) and traveling.
Adrienne, Dental Assistant
Adrienne received her certification in dental assisting from the College of New Caledonia in 1989. She has been working as a dental assistant since then, but has taken a few small breaks to raise her daughters. Adrienne has extensive experience as a dental assistant having worked in general practice as well as in a periodontal practice. Adrienne joined Seymour dental center in 2010. She finds helping patients regain oral health and be happy with their smile very rewarding. Adrienne’s excellent clinical skills and her passion for dentistry comes through while working with each and every patient. She is a genuine caring and empathetic person - making every patients experience comfortable and pleasant. When not working, Adrienne enjoys reading, golfing, attending concerts and spending time with her family and dog.
Kaitlyn graduated in 2009 in Oliver BC, and then moved to Kamloops in 2010 to enter the arts program at Thompson Rivers University. A fresh face to the Dr. B Team: she is one of the newest members and is enthusiastic to greet the patients that come in for dental care. Kaitlyn is newly engaged as of January 2015 and is looking forward to planning her beach wedding – and the honeymoon. In between hitting home runs for her slo-pitch team, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, farmers markets, camping and any outdoor activities. She also loves animals, especially dogs. Although doesn’t have her own yet, Kaitlyn enjoys looking after other peoples. Along with learning more in the field of dentistry and office management her goals for the next few years are to buy a house, get a dog (or three) and settle into her life in Kamloops.
